The idea
Show the Arctic as a place where people live and work, as well as a landscape. The deck of a research vessel becomes a point of reference: water, mountains and distances that are difficult to grasp on a map.

The approach
Moving between scale and close observation keeps a human perspective on the expedition. A panoramic frame complements the film: viewers can pause, explore the deck and choose where to look.

The experience
The film gives the journey a sequence, while the separate panorama leaves time for independent exploration. Together they offer two ways to encounter the same place: through editing and through a sense of presence.
